Privacy Policy

ScreenScore is built so that your ratings stay yours. This policy covers the ScreenScore app for iPhone and iPad and this website, screenscore.io.

The short version

• No account, no sign-in.
• No analytics, no advertising, no tracking.
• Your ratings are stored on your device only.
• To show movies and shows, the app loads data and images from TMDB.

Data stored on your device

Your ratings, scores, captions, card settings and recent searches are saved locally on your device. We do not receive or store a copy. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it. Depending on your device settings, it may be included in your own iCloud or device backups, which are handled by Apple.

The Movie Database (TMDB)

To search titles and show details, posters and trending lists, the app sends requests to The Movie Database (TMDB). Like any web request, this transmits your IP address and the request itself (for example, a search term or title ID) to TMDB's servers. We do not send any personal information along with these requests. See TMDB's privacy policy.

Photos

When you save a rating card, ScreenScore asks for permission to add images and videos to your photo library. The app can only add to your library; it cannot read your photos.

Sharing

Cards are shared through the standard iOS share sheet. What you share, and where, is entirely up to you and subject to the privacy policies of the apps you share to.

This website

screenscore.io uses no cookies and no analytics, and loads no third-party fonts or scripts. The example rating cards show popular movies from TMDB. Our server fetches the movie list and posters from TMDB and delivers them to you itself, so your browser does not connect to TMDB and your IP address is not shared with them.

Our hosting provider, Render (Render Services, Inc.), processes technical access data such as IP address, time and requested page in server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). See Render's privacy policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict processing of your personal data, to data portability, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since we don't collect personal data through the app, there's usually nothing on our side to request. For any question, contact us below.
